Almost Rested

Well we had quite an adventure this past week.  One that we are almost rested from.  We were supposed to fly out on Monday and Tuesday for a school field trip to Sitka.  We were called Sunday evening by the airline to be told that the planes were needing some repairs and currently unable to fly us out.....

So we were stuck with a dilemma....do we just forgo this field trip and hope we can throw one together in the four remaining weeks of school?  Or do we go forward bravely and find alternative transpo (i.e. boats) to get the group (3 adults and 6 children) to Sitka?

Well us silly parents and Teacher went boldly forward and secured the group passage up.  It was a learning experience for most of us, one that we will not soon forget.  The ones we expected to get sick were fine, and the others who had never had issue before of course were terribly sea sick.

But we are very grateful to all who helped us get there, and get around the town because it was a huge success.  We walked a lot, swam a lot, and talked a lot....but we learned even more....

Thanks to all who made it possible, and thanks to the staff and parents who helped chaperon the kids.  It will be a field trip they will never forget!

I don't know about the other kids of PA but I do know that your kids will always be able to talk of (hopefully)the best field trip ever.
They will be able to tell their friends they meet in the future about what they did the spring of 2014 for a fieldtrip!!
